In a beautiful turquoise lagoon on a small tropical island lived an ambitious little fish, named Jessika. This fish had long silky fins and bright colors like the rainbow. She was the fastest fish in her whole school. She had lots of friends and food to eat, yet this little fish was not happy. Even though she had a good life in her spacious lagoon, Jessika could not help but imagine what it would be like to fly in the world up above the water's surface. She spent all her time looking up, while her friends were looking around. She watched the butterflies that fluttered above and tried to imitate their wings. The other fish looked in awe at Jessika's butterfly stroke. They tried to copy her and praised her about how fast she was. But Jessika was only disappointed that she never made it into the air.
She watched the birds and tried to copy their flips by swimming on her back. It was hard at first, but as she practiced it got easier and she got faster. One day she even learned to skim the surface while swimming her backstroke. The feel of the air on her scales as she swam above the water sent her senses into over load. She loved this feeling and wanted to fly that much more. But she never made it into the air. She felt as though she may never fly.
Will Jessika make it out of her lagoon and learn to fly? Get your copy at Amazon.com and find out for yourself.
